Judges ‭2:2-3‬

“And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this? Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.”

After countless times the Lord showed Israel Who He Was/Is, they still ended up disobeying His Word. The Lord tells Israel that “because you disobeyed, I will give you a thorn in your side.” This thorn in their side didn’t effect that generation much, but it destroyed their children and grandchildren. 

When you disobey God’s Word, the punishment may be worse for your kids than it was for you. So tell me…… is it REALLY worth it to do what YOU want now?
