Do You TRUST Him?
Psalm 20:7
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
In the days of the Psalmist, if you wanted to win battles, you needed chariots and horses. If you wanted to keep your freedom, have land, conquer more land, or or just defend yourself from the enemy, you NEEDED horses and chariots.
I wonder if the Psalmist writing this passage was thinking about Gideon though? I wonder if, as he wrote, the thoughts of a man going into battle with just a horn, a pitcher and a torch came to his mind?
What ever came to his mind, he knew one thing. It wasn’t the things of life that he needed to trust. IT WAS GOD AND GOD ALONE.
How many times have I worried about not having enough money to make it to the next week and it kept me from trusting in Him alone? How many times have I worried about giving my tithes and offerings to the Lord because I “just knew He wasn’t going to take care of me.”
My prayer: Oh God forgive me, and help me to remember it has never ever been my strength that saved me. It has always been, and always will be you. I can trust you with my finances. I can trust you with my health. I can trust you with my life plans. I CAN TRUST YOU!
